HOW TO SET UP IPTV ON ANDROID (STEP-BY-STEP 2026)

Setting up IPTV on Android is straightforward once you understand the two main methods: M3U playlists and Xtream Codes. This guide walks through both — from zero to watching your first channel in under 5 minutes.

⚠️ Disclaimer: IPTV players are legal software. The legality of content depends on your provider. Only use IPTV services with proper broadcasting rights for your region.

WHAT YOU NEED

METHOD 1: XTREAM CODES (RECOMMENDED)

Xtream Codes is the most common IPTV format. Your provider gives you a server URL, username, and password. More reliable than M3U.

1

Get your Xtream Codes credentials

Contact your IPTV provider for your server URL (e.g. http://provider.com:8080), username, and password.

2

Download Zappify from Google Play

Search "Zappify IPTV" on Google Play. Free, no account required.

3

Tap Add Playlist → Xtream Codes

Give it a name, then enter your server URL, username, and password exactly as provided.

4

Wait for playlist to load

Takes 10–60 seconds. Large playlists (10,000+ channels) may take longer.

5

Start watching

Browse Live TV, Movies, and Series. On phones, use the bottom navigation tabs to switch sections.

METHOD 2: M3U PLAYLIST

In Zappify tap Add Playlist → M3U URL, paste your M3U link from your provider, give it a name, and tap Connect.

💡 Tip: Xtream Codes is more reliable than M3U because it uses a proper API. If your provider supports both, use Xtream Codes.

SETUP ON ANDROID TV

Identical process on Android TV. Zappify has full D-pad support and channel number input directly from your remote.
